Kia has confirmed Australian pricing for the 2026 Kia PV5 Cargo, and it's coming in cheaper than every rival. Set to land in dealerships from late May, the all-electric van is priced from $55,990 plus on-road costs.

That beats the Peugeot e-Partner and Renault Kangoo E-Tech, both at $61,990 before on-roads, and sits well below the larger Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo at $69,990. For buyers shopping the electric light commercial space, this is a meaningful gap.

That 416km WLTP range puts the PV5 ahead of most of its segment. Only the ID. Buzz Cargo edges it out at 431km.

Built on a purpose-made EV platform

The PV5 is the first model from Kia's PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) strategy, built on an all-electric E-GMP.S platform developed specifically for commercial vehicles. It's also the brand's first cargo van in Australia since the Pregio was discontinued roughly 20 years ago.

Every Australian-spec PV5 has been put through Kia's local ride and handling program, with a focus on urban delivery routes and rougher country roads.

Full specifications haven't been confirmed for Australia yet, but the van produces 120kW and 250Nm in overseas markets, supports DC fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent in around 30 minutes, and includes Vehicle-to-Load capability. Cargo volume in UK models reaches up to 4.4 cubic metres with space for two Euro pallets.
