Chinese luxury SUV brand Rox Motor plans to launch in Australia around the end of 2026 or early 2027. A marketing agency acting for the company told Australian media of the plan, describing Australia as a strategically important market.

Rox Motor has not confirmed which models it will bring, or their pricing, specifications or how they will be sold. The agency said a launch event may be held around the time of arrival.
The brand was previously called Polestones and sells two models, the Rox 01 and the more luxurious Adamas. More than a dozen Australian trademark filings lodged in February 2026 included the Adamas name.
Rox Motor 01 and Adamas specifications
Both are large SUVs with range-extender powertrains, known as EREVs, in six- and seven-seat layouts. A 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine acts purely as a generator, while two electric motors drive the wheels. Combined output is 350kW and 740Nm. All figures below are overseas specifications, not confirmed for Australia.
- Battery and range: the Rox 01 has a 56.01kWh battery, 235km of electric range and 1115km of combined range on the WLTC test cycle. The Adamas manages 1226km combined.
- Size: the Rox 01, designed by Pininfarina, is 5295mm long, 1980mm wide and 1869mm tall. That is 100mm longer than the Denza B8.
- Suspension: the Rox 01 has adaptive dampers, while the Adamas has air suspension with up to 140mm of travel.
- Interior: a 15.7-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen. Heated, massaging and power-adjustable front and second-row seats, ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof are also fitted.
Like the current Land Rover Defender, both use unibody construction rather than a ladder frame. The Adamas also has a removable lid on its centre console that turns it into an emergency toilet, used with a special deodorising bag.

Rox would join a growing list of Defender-style Chinese SUVs heading to Australia. The Denza B5 and the GWM Haval H7 are due before the end of this year, with the Geely Battleship 700, iCaur V25 and Jetour T2 expected next year.
Australian models, pricing and the retail model are still to be announced.
