BMW cuts iX1 and iX2 entry pricing, launches Sport Collection variant
The BMW iX1 xDrive30 now starts from $77,900 before on-road costs and the iX2 xDrive30 from $79,900, with a new Sport Collection variant of the iX1 rounding out the range at $79,900 driveaway nationally.

BMW Australia has trimmed entry pricing on both its iX1 and iX2 electric SUVs and added a new Sport Collection variant to the iX1 line-up, effective today.
Both models share the same dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain producing 230kW and 494Nm. Updated silicon carbide (SiC) inverter technology has also been fitted across the range, which BMW says will improve efficiency and extend driving range. Final figures will be confirmed closer to the on-sale date.
Pricing
- iX1 xDrive30: $77,900* (before on-road costs)
- iX1 xDrive30 Sport Collection: $79,900 (national driveaway)
- iX2 xDrive30: $79,900* (before on-road costs)
*Recommended Retail Price including GST and LCT.

The iX1 has been BMW's best-selling electric vehicle in Australia for three consecutive years. The iX2, which launched locally in 2024, finished second in the brand's BEV sales in 2025. The price revisions arrive as competition in the premium electric SUV segment continues to intensify.
The new Sport Collection variant bundles meaningful extra equipment into the iX1:
- 230kW/494Nm dual-motor all-wheel drive
- M Sport package
- Adaptive M suspension
- 19-inch M light-alloy wheels (double-spoke style 871 M Bicolour)
- BMW Head-Up Display
- Surround View cameras
- Driving Assistant Professional
- Veganza synthetic upholstery with heated front seats
- Alpine White exterior finish
Beyond the inverter update and pricing adjustment, the core package is unchanged. For buyers weighing up a premium electric SUV under $80,000 driveaway, the iX1 Sport Collection is now a harder offer to ignore.
