What is the 2026 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C?
The S/C revives a badge last seen on the 911 between 1978 and 1983, this time standing for Sports Cabriolet. Unlike the limited-run 911 Speedster and 911 S/T before it, the GT3 S/C is a permanent production model - Porsche says there's no cap on numbers.

It's built as a strict two-seater, the only open-top 911 currently sold that way. The chassis setup mirrors the GT3 Touring rather than the track-focused pure GT3, softening the edge slightly without losing the fundamentals.
2026 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C specs and performance
| Spec | Figure |
| Engine | 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six |
| Power | 375 kW (510 PS) |
| Torque | 450 Nm |
| Transmission | 6-speed manual (only option) |
| 0-100 km/h | 3.9 seconds |
| Top speed | 313 km/h |
| Kerb weight | 1,497 kg |
Porsche has obsessed over keeping the weight down. Carbon fibre covers the bonnet, doors and front guards, while centre-lock wheels are magnesium - saving around nine kilograms of rotating mass alone. The ceramic composite brakes shed more than 20kg over cast iron units and are fitted as standard. Even the battery has been swapped for a lightweight lithium-ion unit, cutting four kilograms.
The result: just 18kg heavier than the standard GT3 coupe, despite gaining a fully automatic soft-top roof. That roof opens or closes in around 12 seconds and can operate at speeds up to 50km/h.

The 4.0-litre naturally aspirated engine revs to 9,000 rpm and features revised cylinder heads and more aggressive camshafts carried over from the GT3 RS. A six-speed manual with a short-ratio final drive is the only transmission on offer.

Standard equipment includes Sport Seats Plus in black leather, a rotary ignition switch, a GT-spec digital instrument cluster with Track Screen mode, and matrix LED headlights. Lightweight carbon-shelled bucket seats with folding backrests are optional.
