Forthing Australia is offering a $2500 Visa gift card on every Taikon 5 electric and range-extender hybrid SUV purchased and delivered between 1 November and 31 December 2026.
The offer runs at participating dealers while stock lasts. Driveaway prices are unchanged from when the brand launched in Australia earlier this year, starting at $36,990.

Forthing is part of China’s Dongfeng Motor Group and is distributed locally by Ateco Group. The Taikon 5 is its only model on sale here so far, offered in Luxury and Exclusive grades with a choice of fully electric or range-extender hybrid power.
The gift card is worth almost 7% of the entry price, though it sits alongside the existing driveaway pricing rather than reducing it.
“We are offering the same sharp drive-away prices we launched the Forthing brand with, but also offering buyers a $2500 Visa gift card to put towards their end-of-year celebrations,” said Forthing Australia national manager Shaun Garrard.

The range-extender hybrid is the cheaper way into the Taikon 5. Its 1.5-litre petrol engine never drives the wheels. Instead it runs a generator to top up the 31kWh battery, while a 120kW electric motor drives the rear wheels.
Forthing claims up to 170km of electric-only driving on the WLTP cycle and up to 937km in total. That’s a long electric range for a plug-in at this price, enough to cover most weekday driving on charged power alone.
The fully electric version uses a 64kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and a 150kW front-mounted motor, with a claimed WLTP range of up to 427km. Peak DC charging is a modest 80kW, though Forthing quotes around 30 minutes for a 30 to 80% top-up.

To qualify for the gift card, cars must be both bought and delivered by 31 December. With the offer limited to stock on hand, buyers should check availability with their local dealer before committing.
