Denza Z9GT performance and specs

Power comes from a three-motor setup on Denza's new e3 platform, with total output estimated at around 850kW - equivalent to more than 1,130hp. That's enough for a claimed 0-100km/h time of 2.7 seconds, putting it among the quickest production EVs available anywhere.

The Z9GT is also the first vehicle globally to use BYD's Blade Battery 2.0 technology alongside the brand's FLASH ultra-fast charging system. That charger peaks at 1,500kW DC and can take the battery from 10 to 97% in approximately nine minutes under ideal conditions. Overseas CLTC testing returns a claimed range of 1,036km, though Australian real-world figures will be lower under local testing standards.

Handling the unexpected is also on the spec sheet. DiSus-A air suspension works alongside the e3 platform's software to manage tyre blowouts at highway speeds - actively adjusting power delivery, steering and braking in milliseconds.

Luxury cabin and charging infrastructure

Inside, the Z9GT targets the premium end of the market with Nappa leather massage seating, extended leg rests, a 50-inch augmented reality head-up display, Devialet audio, 128-colour ambient lighting and a built-in refrigerator.

Supporting FLASH charging infrastructure is planned for selected Denza dealerships in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, expected to be operational by Q4 2026.

Denza Australia COO Mark Harland said the Z9GT is engineered for buyers who want long-distance usability alongside high performance - "without compromise."

The Z9GT joins the Denza B5, B8 and D9 in the brand's growing Australian lineup.

With 1,000km-plus range claims and supercar performance on paper, the Z9GT will live or die on how its real-world numbers stack up - and how fast that charging network actually rolls out.
