The M2, M3 and M4 use a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six. The M5 pairs a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor, and its power figure is the combined system output. The two M5s are split one in each colour.
Each car gets an edition-specific roof design, “100” anniversary insignia, “Nürburgring since 1927” lettering and a circuit silhouette. The M3 and M4 add a contrasting kidney grille surround and high-gloss black wheels with green accents. Inside, the M2 gets bi-colour black and white seats with green, black and white stitching, plus an Alcantara steering wheel with a white top-centre marker.

Why the Nürburgring matters to BMW M
The Nürburgring opened in 1927, and its 20.832km Nordschleife loop remains central to BMW M development. A BMW 2002 Ti won the first Nürburgring 24-hour race in 1970, and BMW M is now the circuit’s Official Automotive Partner.
Australia is a strong market for the brand. BMW says Australians bought 3,639 BMW M and M Performance vehicles from January to September 2026, or 20.5% of its local sales.
Production of the M3, M4 and M5 editions starts in January 2027, followed by the M2 in March. BMW advises buyers to contact their local dealer about allocation and pricing.
