Zeekr Australia has started first customer deliveries of the 2026 Zeekr X with the opening units landing at its Brisbane dealership this week. The compact luxury electric SUV has already pulled in more than 1,200 orders since April, a figure that tops the outgoing model's entire 2025 sales tally.

Those orders arrived in just six weeks, between 10 April and 31 May. For context, the previous Zeekr X managed 665 sales across all of 2025. Zeekr puts the jump down to a sharper, better-equipped package that holds firm on its existing driveaway pricing rather than leaning on end-of-financial-year discounting.

Frank Li, Managing Director of Zeekr Australia, said: "The response to the New Zeekr X has been exceptional. Surpassing 1,200 orders in only six weeks highlights strong recognition of the significant upgrades we've delivered, a product that genuinely competes well above its price point."

Buyers ordering now aren't waiting long either. Zeekr says some orders are expected to be filled in as little as two months.

Pricing carries over unchanged across both variants, with each figure quoted driveaway.

That keeps the AWD model under $60,000, undercutting established compact luxury EV rivals like the Volvo EX30 and Smart #1 while loading on more standard kit.

Specs and performance

The updated drivetrains are the headline change. RWD models now make 250kW with up to 405km of WLTP range, while the AWD steps up to 365kW combined and 415km. DC fast charging has improved too, with the RWD covering 10–80% in around 18 minutes, roughly 12 minutes quicker than before.
