Zeekr has confirmed specs for the updated 2026 X, its compact luxury EV SUV, ahead of a Melbourne Motor Show pricing reveal on April 10. Australian deliveries begin in May.
The headline upgrade is the RWD variant's new 'Golden Battery' tech, borrowed from the larger 7X. It bumps DC fast-charging capacity from 150kW to 230kW, cutting the 10-80 per cent charge time from around 30 minutes to just 18. AC charging also steps up, from 7.2kW to 11kW on the RWD and from 11kW to 22kW on the AWD.

Both variants gain a 50kW motor boost bringing the RWD to 250kW and the AWD to a combined 365kW.
| Variant | Power | 0-100km/h | WLTP Range | DC Charging | AC Charging |
| RWD | 250kW | 5.6 sec | 405km | 230kW | 11kW |
| AWD | 365kW | 3.7 sec | 415km | 150kW | 22kW |
Pricing sits under $50K drive-away for the RWD and under $60K for the AWD, with exact figures due at the motor show.

On the inside both variants now come standard with heated front and rear seats, inductive steering wheel controls, and a 13-speaker Yamaha sound system. The AWD adds front massage seats and a temperature-controlled onboard fridge.
Standard equipment additions include:
- Heated front and rear seats (both variants)
- Inductive steering wheel controls (both variants)
- 13-speaker Yamaha audio (both variants)
- Massage front seats (AWD)
- Temperature-controlled onboard fridge (AWD)
The updated Zeekr AD driver assistance suite is standard across the range, using five HD cameras, five millimetre-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. Remote Parking Assist is included for tight urban spaces.

AWD buyers also get new exterior choices in Khaki Green Matte and Onyx Black, plus 20-inch black forged wheels. Automatic doors are available as an option.
Dimensions carry over unchanged at 4432mm long, 1836mm wide and riding on a 2750mm wheelbase.
Buyers considering the X will likely also be looking at the BYD Atto 3, the Volvo EX30 and the MG4, but none of them match its combination of charging speed, power and standard kit at this price. If you're open to sizing up, the Zeekr 7X sits at the top of our list of the best electric SUVs in Australia right now.
If the pricing holds where Zeekr says it will, the updated X shapes up as one of the better-value luxury EVs in Australia right now.
