The BMW 1 Series is BMW’s entry-level hatchback, first launched in 2004 and now in its fourth generation. It has evolved from a rear-wheel drive platform to a more space-efficient front-wheel drive layout, while still offering dynamic handling. Current models include the 118, 120 and the all-wheel-drive M135 xDrive with 233kW. It’s aimed at younger, tech-savvy drivers seeking luxury in a small form.
