Explore the Toyota range

Toyota has revealed five Snowhunter concepts for the 2026 SEMA Show, including a snow-tracked LandCruiser Prado. The Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner and Sequoia complete the family, which Toyota unveiled on 27 October with design led by its CALTY studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The Snowhunters are special project prototypes, not production models. Toyota says they use parts it does not offer and may not be street legal.

The Prado version is built on the model Toyota sells in North America as the Land Cruiser. It carries Toyota Genuine rock rails and skid plates, a Prinsu roof rack with accessory panels and a Thule SnowPack ski rack.

All five concepts share white powder-coated snow tracks, Snowhunter camouflage and badging, gloss black accents, Rigid lighting and lift components from Toyota Genuine Parts and TRD. Toyota has not named the track supplier.

Each model then gets its own equipment:

  • Tundra: a CALTY-designed TrailLift Pro Rack, TRD rear billet control arms, a Predator Step and extra lighting, set up as a mobile basecamp
  • Tacoma: a roof rack, a full-length bed rack with modular gear panels, an awning, cargo storage, recovery equipment and bed lighting
  • 4Runner: Toyota Genuine rock rails, a Prinsu roof rack and a Thule Pulse 2 cargo box
  • Sequoia: a TRD front skid plate, cast aluminium running boards, a Prinsu roof rack and a Thule Pulse 2 cargo box

Will the Snowhunter come to Australia?

The Prado is sold in Australia, but Toyota has not confirmed any Snowhunter variant or local availability. The snow tracks and other parts are prototype modifications, not confirmed factory accessories. The Prado is also the only one of the five that Toyota Australia sells.

The concepts will be on show at SEMA, which starts on 3 November. Watch for Toyota to say whether any of the equipment will be offered as accessories.
