The suite is open to buyers of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport Autobiography and SV models. Guided by Range Rover design experts, clients can choose custom paint finishes, hand-selected leathers, bespoke veneers, custom embroidery, contrast stitching, precious metal accents and personalised insignia.

Range Rover also offers a two-night stay at Capella Sydney as part of the Bespoke journey, including return Range Rover transfers to the suite for the commissioning appointment.

The inspiration is a Davos White Range Rover demonstration vehicle that arrived in Australia in early 1970, two years before the model’s 1972 commercial launch. It has been preserved with its original patina. Davos White evoked the Swiss Alps, while the Pioneer 1972 takes its cues from the light and shadow of Mount Kosciuszko, a region Range Rover links with its Australian debut.

Power comes from the SV’s 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid, which produces 452kW. Key details include:

  • Exterior: custom Bespoke White Gloss with metallic flakes, gloss black mirror caps and 23-inch Oblivion Diamond Turned alloy wheels with a Gloss Dark Grey contrast
  • Interior: Caraway and Ebony leather, Natural Black Birch veneer and Satin Black ceramic controls
  • Details: seat embroidery and scatter cushions with Perlino and Caraway stitching inspired by Kosciuszko’s snow-covered peaks, plus illuminated treadplates reading “Pioneer 1972 One of One”

Range Rover has not published pricing for Bespoke commissions or said whether the Pioneer 1972 will be offered for sale. Clients wanting to start a commission can book a private consultation through their local Range Rover retailer.
