Omoda has revealed the Omoda X, a new crossover that blends SUV practicality with off-road styling. It was unveiled overnight at the International User Summit, and Omoda Jaecoo Australia says it is yet to be confirmed for local showrooms.
The Omoda X will be offered with full electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains, in both two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Power outputs, battery sizes and range figures have not been released.

Omoda X size and off-road features
The Omoda X measures 4650mm long, 1910mm wide and 1720mm tall, and sits below the Omoda 9 in the brand’s line-up. Omoda describes the design as wide-bodied, with broad shoulders and a sporty silhouette inspired by “mecha” culture.
It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tyres. Ground clearance is 200mm and wading depth is more than 700mm.
Towing capacity is up to 1,800kg and the roof can carry 75kg. Omoda also claims 39 storage spaces inside, aimed at people carrying outdoor gear.
An exclusive X-MODE lets drivers adjust vehicle settings and performance response to suit their preferences.

Thermal night vision debuts for Omoda Jaecoo
The headline technology is an infrared thermal imaging night vision system, a first for the Omoda Jaecoo brand. It is designed to spot potential hazards up to 90 metres away in the dark.
Inside, the “Mecha Command Cockpit” uses a twin-wing dashboard and an X-shaped floating centre console. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster sits alongside a 13.2-inch central touchscreen. Physical controls remain for air conditioning and driving modes.

Omoda Jaecoo Australia says further details on the Omoda X will be revealed at a later date. Local launch timing, pricing and which powertrains would arrive here are all still to be announced.
