- EOFY M-Genius offer ends 30 June 2026
MG has cut 10% from the HS Super Hybrid range as part of its M-Genius EOFY campaign with deals running through 30 June 2026. The MG HS Super Hybrid Excite drops to $42,990 driveaway (was $47,990), while the Essence comes in at $46,990 (was $51,990).
That's a $5,000 reduction on a plug-in hybrid SUV that was already competitively priced. Note that MG's own site advertises a $6,000 saving against a higher reference price - The Beep's independent pricing data puts the real-world saving at $5,000.

The MG HS Super Hybrid combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor for 220kW and 350Nm combined, and claims up to 120km of electric range on the WLTP cycle. For most Australian commuters, that means fuel rarely gets touched on a typical week.

How the MG HS Super Hybrid stacks up

The 0.7L/100km consumption figure is among the lowest in the segment and 17g/km CO2 reflects the real-world benefit of running mostly on battery. A five-star ANCAP safety rating rounds out a spec sheet that's hard to argue with at this price.
The BYD Sealion 5 PHEV is cheaper at around $38,000 driveaway, but its 71km electric range (NEDC) falls well short of the MG's 120km WLTP figure - and NEDC ratings tend to flatter real-world results. The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV starts at around $59,000 driveaway, making the MG nearly $16,000 cheaper at entry level.
If you've been watching the HS Super Hybrid, this is the lowest it's been priced in Australia. The offer ends 30 June.
