GAC has opened order books for the Aion UT, its fourth model in Australia and a direct rival to the BYD Dolphin and GWM Ora. Priced from $31,990 before on-roads, the compact EV hatch is available now across GAC's 19 Australian dealerships.
Two variants are on offer:
- Premium – $31,990 (RRP)
- Luxury – $35,990 (RRP)
Until 9 April 2026, GAC is sweetening the deal with driveaway launch pricing: the Premium drops to $30,990 and the Luxury holds at $35,990. Both include a bonus 10A portable charger and a 22kW wall charger. The offer is capped at 600 units.

Power comes from a single front-mounted motor producing 150kW and 210Nm, fed by a 60kWh LFP battery with a claimed 430km WLTP range. Charging tops out at 11kW AC and 87kW DC. Those range figures beat the entire Dolphin lineup and the Ora range.
At 4270mm long, it's shorter than a Toyota Corolla hatch but rides a 110mm longer wheelbase. Boot space is 321 litres.
Standard kit on the base Premium is strong for the price: 14.6-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, surround-view camera, blind-spot monitoring, driver monitoring, heated steering wheel, and a heat pump. The Luxury adds a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, wireless charging, and a ventilated driver's seat.

GAC backs the Aion UT with an eight-year unlimited-kilometre vehicle warranty and an eight-year/200,000km battery warranty. Five years of roadside assistance is included if you service within the dealer network.
First deliveries are due from Q2 2026.
At under $31,000 drive-away during the launch window, the Aion UT is one of the more affordable EVs on the Australian market right now with a meaningful range figure attached.
