BMW iX3 undercuts premium EV rivals by up to $30,000

BMW has confirmed Australian pricing for the all-new iX3, with the sole launch variant, the 50 xDrive, landing at $109,900 before on-road costs. Deliveries are expected mid-2026.
Only one variant will be available at launch. The 50 xDrive uses a dual-motor setup producing 345kW and 645Nm, hitting 100km/h in 4.9 seconds and topping out at 210km/h. Its 108kWh battery is rated at up to 805km on the WLTP cycle, currently the longest range of any new car on sale in Australia.

Charging is a standout stat. The 800V architecture supports DC fast charging at up to 400kW, enough to add 350km of range in 10 minutes or charge from 10 to 80 per cent in 21 minutes. Three-phase 22kW AC charging is standard.

Inside, the iX3 debuts BMW's Panoramic iDrive system, which projects driving information across a 43.3-inch display spanning the base of the windscreen. A separate 17.9-inch touchscreen handles infotainment, running BMW Operating System X.
Standard equipment is extensive, with Harman Kardon audio, heated and electrically adjustable front seats with memory, panoramic sunroof, Driving Assistant Plus, 3D head-up display and M Sport Package all included. Options are intentionally limited.
