Key takeaways
- 2027 Polestar 2 starts from $66,400, up $4000 from axed base grade
- Flagship Performance Pack gains Pixel LED headlights, Bowers & Wilkins standard
- Prices unchanged across all three remaining variants
Polestar has confirmed the 2027 Polestar 2 lineup for Australia with the entry-level Standard Range Single Motor cut from the range. The Swedish brand says the decision reflects buyer demand for longer-range variants.
That leaves three grades, all carrying long-range batteries. Entry point is now the Long Range Single Motor at $66,400 before on-roads, which is $4,000 more than the departed base grade, though Polestar hasn't increased pricing on any surviving variant.
The headline addition for MY27 is the Long Range Dual Motor with Performance Pack, which now includes Pixel LED headlights and a Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system as standard. Polestar values that extra equipment at $5100 with no corresponding price rise.

2027 Polestar 2 pricing
| Variant | Price (before on-roads) |
| Long Range Single Motor | $66,400 |

Every 2027 Polestar 2 comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 11.2-inch Google Built-in touchscreen, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and a surround-view camera.
The 14-speaker 1350W Bowers & Wilkins system, first introduced for MY26 alongside a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor upgrade, remains available as a paid option on the Single and standard Dual Motor grades.
How it stacks up against competitors
At $66,400 the 2027 Polestar 2 sits above the Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal in price, though both are outselling it significantly. In the first quarter of 2026, Polestar 2 moved 139 units against Model 3's 1363 and Seal's 934. It does lead the Hyundai Ioniq 6 on volume with 17 units to Polestar's 139.
