Size, seats and towing
At 5056mm long, 2010mm wide and 1800mm tall, the Q7 is wider and taller than before but barely longer. It moves to Audi's new PPC platform and wears boxier, more upright styling.
Buyers pick five, six or seven seats, with the six-seater scoring captain's chairs in the middle row. Boot space reaches 2075 litres in the five-seater with the rear seats down, and braked towing holds at 3500kg. The Q7 now sits below the larger, US-focused Q9.
Cabin, lighting and tech
A single curved panel carries a 12.3-inch driver display and a 14.5-inch touchscreen, plus an optional passenger screen. Open-pore wood and softer trims push out much of the old piano black, and a 22-speaker Bang & Olufsen system adds headrest speakers.
Self-closing doors, a switchable glass roof and wireless magnetic charging also feature. Wheels span 20 to 23 inches, the biggest a factory first. Smart lighting brings an illuminated grille, Digital Matrix LED headlights that pick out pedestrians, and turn signals projected onto the road.
Diesel buyers get first dibs on the third-gen Q7, but anyone holding out for the plug-in hybrid will need to wait until later in 2027.
