Subaru has confirmed its Uncharted electric SUV for Australia with expressions of interest now open ahead of a mid-2026 arrival. It's the brand's second EV to reach local showrooms joining the Solterra.
Subaru is calling it a Sport Electric Vehicle (or SEV). Two electric motors combine for 252kW and a claimed 0-100km/h time of around 5.0 seconds, while a 74.7kWh CATL battery provides up to 522km of range.

Ground clearance sits at 212mm, backed by Subaru's X-Mode off-road system and hill descent control. There's also 1500W vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability for running devices from the car.

Inside, a 14-inch touchscreen leads the tech package with dual wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather upholstery and a square steering wheel. Wheels are 20-inch alloys.

Subaru Safety Sense comes standard along with blind spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera and a driver monitoring system.
Pricing hasn't been confirmed. The Solterra starts from $63,990 plus on-road costs so the smaller Uncharted is likely to come in below that. Two trim levels are expected, mirroring the Solterra lineup.
