Ram Trucks Australia has replaced the Laramie Sport with the 2026 Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition, a blacked-out version of its mid-spec pick-up that's in showrooms now.
It keeps the same $141,950 before on-road costs price, but buyers trade away 64kg of payload in the switch.
What's new on the 2026 Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition
The Night Edition borrows its look from the flagship Limited. Out go the Sport's 20-inch wheels, replaced by 22-inch black alloys, alongside a blacked-out grille, black door handles, black mirror caps, black badging and black exhaust tips.
A sculpted 'power bulge' bonnet, already fitted to other 1500 grades, adds visual muscle. Proximity approach and departure lighting rounds out the exterior changes.
Inside, the premium Laramie kit carries over. Standard gear includes:

The Ram 1500 has led Australia's full-size pick-up segment for eight years running, ahead of rivals like the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado and Toyota Tundra.
"The Laramie is one of the most popular variants in the Ram 1500 line-up and the new Night Edition is expected to broaden its appeal even further," said Jeff Barber, General Manager of Ram Trucks Australia.
Ram's black-pack becomes the whole 1500 range
Ram has now blacked out every 1500 grade below the HD trucks, from the Express Black Edition to the Limited, making dark styling the default Australian look rather than an option.
Holding the Night Edition at $141,950 keeps the roughly $18,000 gap to the Limited intact, so the bigger wheels and blacked-out trim work as a mid-range sweetener rather than a nudge toward the flagship. The payload cut also pushes the Laramie a step further from serious work duty and closer to the lifestyle buyers this styling is aimed at.
For Laramie buyers, the maths is simple: sharper, more expensive-looking styling at no extra cost, in exchange for 64kg less in the tray. If you load your ute hard, the outgoing Sport on runout may still be the smarter buy before stock clears on 30 September.
