2026 Mazda CX-5 from $39,990 with AWD standard across the range

Third-gen Mazda CX-5 pricing is locked in for Australia, starting at $39,990 before on-road costs. Five grades are on offer, all powered by a revised 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol producing 132kW and 242Nm, paired to a six-speed automatic with AWD standard across the board.

Pure: 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 17-inch alloys, dual-zone climate control, wired Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, front and rear parking sensors, black cloth trim

Evolve: Adds heated front seats, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless charger, auto-folding heated mirrors, smart keyless entry, rear air vents, frameless auto-dimming mirror

Touring: Adds 19-inch machined alloys, black synthetic leather trim, 10-way powered driver's seat, heated steering wheel, power tailgate, head-up display, roof rails, heated windscreen

GT SP: Adds 19-inch gloss black alloys, 12-speaker Bose audio, adaptive LED headlights, signature lighting, ambient interior lighting, 360-degree camera, heated rear outer seats, rear USB-C, black leather trim

Akera: Adds 15.6-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, hands-free tailgate, paddle shifters, personalise system

Wireless CarPlay requires stepping up from the Pure. Native satellite navigation is not available on any grade in Australia, and a hybrid powertrain won't arrive until 2027 at the earliest.

The new CX-5 is larger than the model it replaces, growing 115mm in length to 4690mm, 15mm wider at 1860mm and slightly taller at 1695mm. More rear legroom, a bigger boot and wider door openings are the practical result.
